The esteemed ensemble Génération Mozart, founded in 2019 and led artistically by Pejman Memarzadeh, embarks on a captivating tour that spans from Menorca to various prestigious venues across France (more information to come).
The tour opens in the vibrant port city of Maó, at the heart of the island of Menorca, with a concert held in the legendary Teatro Principal. Inaugurated in 1829, this theatre is recognized as the oldest opera house in Spain still in operation. A historical cradle of Spanish lyrical tradition, it has long been a home to zarzuela : a uniquely Spanish theatrical genre blending spoken drama, operatic singing, and popular melodies.
Within this iconic setting, Génération Mozart will present a rich and evocative program inspired by Mozart, Puccini, Bizet, and of course, zarzuela !
Soprano Emy Gazeilles, acclaimed as a Révélation Escapades Musicales 2025, joins forces with bass Olivier Gourdy (also Révélation 2025), under the direction of Pejman Memarzadeh, with Thomas Tacquet.
